professionally produced education events that draw
county officials from all across the state.

events:
Courts and Local Government Technology Conference, Austin
Sponsorship and exhibit space opportunities are available.
The Courts and Local Government
Technology Conference (CoLoGo) offers a cutting-edge
educational program that addresses the most important
policy, management and technology issues facing courts
and local government today. This forum provides an opportunity
to share experiences on what works and what doesn’t
with your peers and the outstanding technology experts
we will provide as speakers. A collaborative effort between
Texas courts of every level, county officials and local
government offices; it is the only event of its kind!
County Management Institute, Austin
Sponsorship opportunities are available.
The County
Management Institute is the annual management education
event of the Association. It is attended by a wide
range of county officials and staff, including judges,
commissioners, treasurers, auditors, personnel directors,
loss control coordinators, risk managers and insurance
administrators.
County Investment Officer Training, Corpus Christi
Sponsorship and exhibit space opportunities are available.
The
course offers continuing education training for those
actively engaged in the day-to-day management of
county investments. The course covers federal and
state regulations, types of securities, market risk,
investment strategy risk, performance measurement,
and investment controls.
TAC Annual Conference, Austin
Sponsorship and exhibit space opportunities are available.
TAC’s
largest conference of the year, the TAC Annual Conference
draws county officials from
all offices. County officials from all over the state
will gather in Austin to hear the highlights of the
legislative session and other hot topics in county
government. The TAC Annual Conference also includes
an outstanding exhibit show.
Texas Public
Funds Investment Conference, Houston
Sponsorship opportunities are available.
The
traditional County Investment Officer education is expanded
to include all local government officials responsible
for investing public funds. This program provides basic
education for county commissioners’ court
members and city, school and special district board
members. Advanced education is also provided for investment
officers and committees.
Texas Judicial
Academy
Sponsorship opportunities are available.
The Texas Judicial Academy offers
various programs throughout the year to fulfill
the mandatory judicial education requirement for
constitutional county judges. The Academy also
provides administrative training on new and emerging
legal, technological, social, criminal, and administrative
trends affecting the courts. Constitutional county judges
and staff attend these programs. Some of the programs
offered are: Judicial Academy (spring & fall), Computer
Skills Training Course, Court Assistants Training Conference,
Bench Book Workshops and Summer Series Workshops.
