Overview
Through the years, the liabilities generated by the
employer-employee relationship have greatly increased.
To assist counties through the confusing maze of regulations
and limitations faced by employers, the Texas Association
of Counties Human Resource Assistance Program was started
in 1989. TAC now has three full time HR specialists,
each assigned to a specific region of the state. As
a result, county officials can now call on an HR management
professional whose job it is to assist counties with
the day to day challenges created by the employer-employee
relationship and help counties reduce employment related
liability.
