Technical Assistance
A major component of the HR Assistance Program is
technical assistance. When a county has a specific
employment related question or problem, the county
can call the human resource specialist assigned to
that territory for assistance. In many cases, an answer
can be given over the phone. In other instances, the
answer may take longer to find, up to several days
in some cases, where additional research is needed
or outside resources have to be utilized.
Additional Services
Other services offered by the
HR Assistance Program include:
Access to a video lending library containing
a variety of videos on major HR and management issues
An HR listserve for county officials and county
employees responsible for the county's personnel management
program
Providing copies of outlines and other material
used in TAC's HR training
Providing copies of the parts of the Code of
Federal Regulations that deal with employment issues
Providing examples of documents used in HR management
