Health and Employee Benefits

Overview
County owned and managed, TAC's Health and Employee Benefits Pool provides many options for counties with medical, dental, accident and life insurance for current as well as retired county employees, officials and their dependents.

Group Health - The TAC Group Health Care Program enables counties to pool together their purchasing power to obtain reliable, affordable health insurance benefits. Proactive programs for health care, such as disease management and Healthwise, work for our counties to curb rising health care costs.

Retiree Medical Benefits - Now, your Association offers county retirees medical benefits you can trust at a price you can afford. With TAC's CountyChoice Silver, county retirees can have peace of mind that they have added protection at affordable rates—and an insurance plan that offers stability and security beyond Medicare.

Voluntary Life Insurance -Typically, county workers are the main breadwinners for their families and most would benefit from additional life and accident insurance. TAC is pleased to offer several products to our members through Fort Dearborn Life Insurance Company. These are excellent products at very affordable group rates for those who enroll. Employees can choose any or all of the three options in which they would like to participate.
