Voluntary Life Insurance

Typically, county workers are the main breadwinners for their families and most would benefit from additional life and accident insurance. The Texas Association of Counties is pleased to offer the following products to our members through Fort Dearborn Life Insurance Company. These are excellent at very affordable group rates for those who enroll. Employe
es can choose any or all of the three options in which they would like to participate.

Voluntary Term Life Insurance. Employees enrolled in basic life may select 100 percent or 200 percent of annual salary up to a maximum of $200,000. (Guaranteed issue is available if participation requirements are met and guaranteed amounts are determined by the size of your group.) Minimum enrollment required: 25 percent of employees must enroll in order to eliminate underwriting (Evidence of Insurability - EOI).

Voluntary Group Accident Insurance. This coverage offers complete 24-hour protection against accidents anywhere in the world, activities on or off the job, on business, pleasure, on vacation or at home. Minimum enrollment required: 50 percent of the voluntary life enrollees.

Dependents' Group Life Insurance. Additional life coverage for spouses and/or children of voluntary life enrollees. Minimum enrollment required - 10 employees, if Voluntary Life minimum is met.
