by workers compensation when an employee breaks them
on the job?
Under a narrow set of circumstances, they can be covered.
However, a workers compensation claim cannot be based
on property damage alone.
How does an employer determine
if a report of injury by an employee is legitimate,
or compensable?
The employer should not attempt to determine compensability,
but report the injury as alleged by their employee and
let the carrier make that determination.
