Annual CIO hours requirements are based on the number of years an individual has maintained their active CIO status.

Twenty hours of CIO continuing education is offered at the CIO Level II Training in June each year (this advanced training is geared to the needs of the county government investment professional and attendance is restricted to those who have completed Level I training prior to the seminar).
Ten hours of CIO continuing education is offered at the Texas Public Funds Investment Conference in Houston, held annually in November.
