In this program, students encounter approximately 35 hours of classroom instruction over a week period. The class starts on Sunday afternoon and ends the following Saturday with the exam.

Classes are limited to 25 county or county-related entity officials or employees. Certification is an option for those wishing to demonstrate professional development through obtaining and maintaining the CIO credential. Successful completion of the Level I course is mandatory for candidates to take the certification examination.

One session is held in early October annually. Interested individuals may contact the TAC Education Department for additional information.

After completing CIO Level I, you may attend the CIO Level II Training held annually in June.
