LBJ School for Public Affairs
A variety of professional development programs have been established to serve the development needs of elected and appointed officials in government. These programs, some of which have been sponsored by the School and its predecessor for over 30 years, include conferences for state legislators as well as programs for city and county officials.

NACo Internet University (NIU)
NACo Internet University has joined forces with their partner, the Federal Government's on-line site. See how they provides courses that focus on the critical skills, knowledge, and tools that are required for workers in your departments and agencies to deliver high quality services to citizens.

Texas Leadership Institute
The Texas Association of Counties joins with the Lower Colorado River Authority and a wide array of Texas organizations and education institutions in sponsoring the Texas Leadership Institute. The Institute's primary focus is to promote sustainability and economic expansion through education of local leaders in planning and economic development. V.G. Young Institute
The V.G. Young Institute of County Government is a part of Texas AgriLife Extension Service of The Texas A&M University System. The Institute is committed to the Extension philosophy of "Linking Knowledge and People for Progress," and its objective is to help county officials become more effective leaders through a variety of conferences, seminars, workshops and printed materials.
