Educational Co-Sponsor: A Partnership between the County Judges Education Committee of the Texas Association of Counties and Texas Tech University School of Law

General Information

The County Court Assistants Training Conference is sponsored by the Texas Judicial Academy and partially funded by a Judicial and Court Personnel Training Fund Grant administered by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. The Court Assistants Conference program is planned by the Court Assistants Advisory Committee and produced by the County Judges Education Committee.  The Texas Judicial Academy is a partnership between the County Judges Education Committee of the Texas Association of Counties and Texas Tech University School of Law.

Program Overview

The Court Assistants Training Conference presents an opportunity for the county judges staff to learn more about the management & operation of judicial and administrative procedures of the judges office.  Our goal is to leave this conference better equipped to assist the county judge in his or her judicial and administrative duties.

Who Should Attend?
County judges' secretaries, administrative assistants and court assistants are encouraged to attend.

Reimbursement

Reimbursements are allowable for state approved travel, lodging and meal expenses, however reimbursement will be provided for county judges assistants only.

Continuing Education

This 14-hour program qualifies for 1.4 hours of IACET continuing education hours.
