Agenda
Whether you’re thinking about starting a DWI court or you’ve already got one established, the 2009 DWI Court Workshop provides training for successful collaboration among the judge, the probation officer, the prosecutor, the defense attorney, and treatment professionals who work together with defendants to prevent repeat offenses.
We’ll also discuss the latest DWI court issues and a look into the roles of the probation officer and the prosecutor in DWI cases. Speakers include David Wallace, director of the National Center for DWI Courts; Sabrina Bentley, a Williamson County probation officer from one of the most active DWI courts in Texas; and Clay Abbott, DWI resource prosecutor with the Texas District and County Attorneys Association.
