Course Description
Please note, this training is by invitation only and is closed to the public.
Conference Offers Essential Wellness Training to Elected officials and employees of county government represent one of our state’s most valuable assets — public servants to all Texas citizens. When county officials and employees are healthy, they’re better able to provide quality service, manage stress appropriately, increase productivity and model healthy behaviors for their families, colleagues and the community. Healthy employees save county taxpayers money through decreased health care expenses, reduced workers’ compensation costs and lower rates of absenteeism.
We’re committed to providing you with the information, tools and resources to help you and your employees lead a healthy life. So please join us in February to learn the "best practices" for creating a wellness program and gain valuable insight into our comprehensive statewide wellness initiative that can provide county employees more accessibility to resources for health improvement.
These informative sessions are offered by invitation only, exclusively to designated wellness coordinators and executive sponsors who are members of the TAC Health and Employee Benefits pool. Space is limited to 120 attendees. Registration is free and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. A maximum of two rooms per county will be reimbursed. Please bring your Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas health ID card and tennis shoes to participate in our Fun Run/Walk.
