Overview
The 2012 conference highlights the latest legislative issues, redistricting and overall strategies to assist you in your daily operations as an elected official. This is a great opportunity to get together with fellow judges and commissioners from north and east Texas and across the state.
Monday’s opening session features updates on the 82nd Legislative Session. The agenda includes the latest information on hot topics in county government and advanced curriculum sessions. Not all of the learning takes place in a classroom; you may network with other officials during golf, fishing or domino tournaments on Tuesday afternoon, Texas Hold’em tournament Tuesday evening and several evening events such as the President’s Welcome Gala and Vendor Appreciation on Sunday, Host Court Night on Monday and the Installation Luncheon on Wednesday.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this conference, you can:
- Utilize new knowledge, training, ideas and leadership skills; and
- Better understand the roles of other county officials and their importance to county government.
