The BEA collects data and prepares estimates on key national, international, and regional aspects of the U.S. economy.
- BEARFACTS
BEA Regional Facts--BEARFACTS--consists of computer-generated narratives for States, counties and metropolitan
statistical areas. The narratives describe an area's personal income using current estimates, growth rates, and a
breakdown of the sources of personal income.
- Regional Data
Includes information on gross state product by industry, state personal income and employment, local area personal
income and per capita personal income, projections, and BEARFACTS.
Business and Industry Data Center (BIDC) Part of Texas Economic Development, the
BIDC is an ongoing initiative of the U.S. Census Bureau to make economic data and statistics more widely available at

Texas Department of Rural County
Affairs ORCA was created during the most recent legislative session to serve as the point agency for the
state's health, economic development, and community development programs targeting rural communities in Texas. ORCA
program divisions include the Center for Rural Health Initiatives (CRHI), the Texas Community Development Program
(TCDP), and Local Government Services.

Handbook
on Economic Development Laws for Texas Cities This is the 2000 edition of "Volume 1 - How To
Utilize Existing Statutory Tools to Promote Local Economic Development." Of particular interest are Chapters
VIII and X, both of which include a section on County Economic Development Powers.

Business Patterns County Business Patterns is an annual series that provides subnational economic
data by industry. The series is useful for studying the economic activity of small areas; analyzing economic
changes over time; and as a benchmark for statistical series, surveys, and databases between economic censuses.
Industry
and Occupation Classification System Indexes listing over 21,000 industry and 31,000 occupation titles
in alphabetical order. They are comprehensive lists of specific industries and occupations continuously
updated through review of census and survey responses.

Retail Trade Data Retail sales data for the nation in millions of dollars. The data is sorted by
