1996 Federal Highway Statistics  From the Federal Highway Administration, Office of Highway Information Management. This information was developed primarily to meet FHWA and State needs in administering the Nation's highway programs. This site also has a link to table revisions/updates.

1999 County Roads - Lane Miles  The number of lane miles by surface type. The data in this document was compiled from the Texas Department of Transportation's Texas County Road Inventory received April 2000. The date of the data varies from 1996 to 1999 depending upon the year that the inventory was completed.

Austin - San Antonio Commuter Rail Feasibility Study  The Texas Department of Transportation along with several other governmental agencies in the Central Texas area are conducting a study to determine if commuter rail is a practical and cost effective option between the two metropolitan areas.

Texas Transportation Institute  TTI conducts interdisciplinary and multi-modal research extending into the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, enforcement, economic, environmental, and social aspects of transportation.
