Nanette Forbes - Legislative Liaison
Nanette joined the Texas Association of Counties in 1998 as a legal assistant in the Legal Department and has been a member of the Legislative staff since January 2005.
A native Texan from Jim Hogg County, Nanette attended Southwest Texas State University. Her previous work experience took her to Chicago and Denver before she returned to South Texas in 1982 where she worked for the Jim Hogg County Industrial Foundation administering the Community Development Block Grant programs for the county.
Nanette moved to the Austin area in 1992 and worked for the Texas Department of Health, Litigation Section of the General Counsel Division. She earned her paralegal certification in 1995 from the Division of Continuing Education of the University of Texas.
