The Comptroller’s State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) will be hosting a Webinar for the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program on Friday, Oct. 30 at 10:30 a.m. Under the program, 244 non-entitlement counties (those that did not receive a direct allocation from the federal government) are eligible for funding, ranging from $20,000 to $150,000 per county, for various energy efficiency projects. The General Accounting Office released a new report on the Recovery Act and related state and local planning efforts to use these funds. This chart lists some of the ARRA grant opportunities that counties may be eligible for and will be continually updated as new information becomes available. Note that funding for arts, medical or scientific research, or Tribal Agencies is excluded from this chart.
Funds will help restore and expand economic activity in regions experiencing severe economic dislocation and job loss. Note: Applicants must meet specific economic eligibility requirements and must provide a 50% match. For more information, read the funding opportunity notice.

Energy Efficiency & Conservation Block Grant (EECBG)
EECBG pass-through funds will be administered through SECO for projects involving energy efficiency, conservation and renewable energy programs to counties that did not receive a direct allocation from the U.S. Department of Energy. The Comptroller sent informational packets with notice of allocation awards to all eligible counties during the week of Sept. 21.
