Signs required in every county office

[Notices]
In addition to notices and agendas posted on the courthouse’s “official” bulletin board, federal and state laws require each county office to post posters that state various rights and notices. In some instances, failure to post these informational signs could lead to fines. If an employee is involved in an employment hearing or lawsuit, failure to have the right signs up could be interpreted as a lack of good faith compliance. The posters listed below can be obtained from the appropriate state or federal regulatory agencies.

Certain other posters that often appear in workplaces are not required in county offices, including those announcing the Texas Payday Law, Child Labor Laws, Employee Polygraph Protection Laws and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. “The Law in Texas,” which covers equal opportunity laws in Texas, is an optional poster not required by law but it can be obtained from the Texas Commission on Human Rights at (512) 437-3450.
