Calhoun County Flood Plain Specialist Mary Ann Bonuz took this photograph of a blue bonnet in Calhoun County’s “Magic Ridge” at Indianola with a Nikon D80 180mm macro lens. “Texas, like a beautiful damsel has many charms and attractions, but it is not entirely faultless. Indeed, there is no such place as heaven on Earth, but its many beauties will hide a multitude of faults,” Bonuz wrote in about the photograph.
County officials and employees (and anyone else in a Texas county) are encouraged to submit their photos for publication in One Last Look to Jim Lewis, county editor at P.O.
