Leadership
Program Accepting
Nominations
County government veterans and
rising stars who are interested in
sharing or developing their leadership
skills and creating a strong network
of individuals interested in shaping
solutions to challenging local
problems can apply now to become a
member of the 2010-211 Leadership
Foundation Class.
The TAC Leadership Foundation Class
is a selective two-year program that
draws elected officials from diverse
county offices and geographic
locations. Members come together
in a classroom setting to study
management and communications
skills and core critical issues affecting
county government. Class members
also benefit from insight given by
established business and government
leaders. Graduates become a member
of the Foundation’s alumni group. “We design the program so that
members establish long-lasting
relationships that can support each
other’s future leadership efforts,” said
TAC Training Consultant Mark Warren,
who moderates the class. The application deadline is May 15.
County officials who wish to apply or
who would like to nominate a peer for
the class can call TAC at (800) 456-
5974 and ask for Kali O’Neill. Class
members will be formally announced
at TAC’s 2010 Annual Conference. |
