Regional Loss Control Workshops Set

Techniques and guidelines to help counties reduce their risk for accidents and injuries will be presented at a series of 10, one-day Loss Control Workshops at regional locations across the state July 7-Aug.6.

Among the topics presented by TAC’s Loss Control specialist are risk trends, accident investigations, preserving evidence, workers’ comp rules and more. Interested in learning more? View the agenda.

Locations include:
• July 7 in Alpine;
• July 9 in Odessa;
• July 14 in Corpus Christi;
• July 16 in Kerrville;
• July 21 in Tyler and Conroe;
• July 23 in Granbury and Edna;
• July 28 in Wichita Falls;
• July 30 in Abilene;
• Aug. 4 in Borger; and
• Aug. 6 in Lubbock.

Eligible continuing education credits include six hours for law enforcement personnel, 6.25 hours for county/district clerks, five hours for tax assessor-collectors and 6.25 hours for treasurers. Approval for credits for commissioners is pending.
