Plan Now for Public Investment Funds Conference

Officials responsible for the investment of public funds should attend the Texas Public Funds Investment Conference, scheduled for Nov. 18-19 in Houston. Investment experts from across the nation will be on hand to educate attendees about public financing options and strategies.

Anyone who deals with public budgets — including county commissioners, judges, auditors, governing board members, and administrators of port authorities, water districts and school districts — can benefit from the event.

Certified County Investment Officers are required to complete 20 hours of continuing education credit each year to maintain certification; for these individuals, the conference is worth 10 hours. But other attendees can also use the conference for public funds training credit.
