- Learn about the 2020 Healthy County program; and
- Identify the new programs, services, and benefits provided by TAC HEBP.

During this session, attendees can choose between one of three breakout sessions that will focus on the concepts of: (1) coordinating a health fair and lunch and learn; (2) the importance of wellness incentives; and (3) tips to create a wellness committee. In each breakout session, attendees will learn strategies and skills to implement these concepts on a personal and organizational level.
Designing Successful Wellness Incentives: The Path to a Dynamic Wellness Program
Speaker: Stacey Bruington, Wellness Consultant, Texas Association of Counties
In this session, we will discuss increasing the overall wellness of county members, reducing health risks and increasing healthy lifestyles through implementing wellness incentives.
Participants in this session will be able to:
- Understand why implementing wellness incentives is important to maximizing engagement;
- Identify the preliminary steps necessary to implementing wellness incentives;
- Understand the integral roles of key players and communicating the incentives to county members; and
- Understand the path forward and how to build on the foundation of successful wellness incentives.
Wellness Event Floor Plan: How to Coordinate Health Fairs and Lunch and Learns
Speaker: Biral Patel, Wellness Consultant, Texas Association of Counties
Wellness events allow county employees to receive health screenings and learn how to prevent and manage disease.
Participants in this session will learn how to set a theme for the event, reach out to potential vendors and volunteers, create a schedule and booth layout and promote the event to employees.
Peer Pressure: Discover the Strategic Advantage of a Wellness Committee
Speaker: Mark Zollitsch, Wellness Consultant, Texas Association of Counties
In this interactive session, we will discover the advantages of a wellness committee, pitfalls to avoid, how to set one up in your county, and learn from fellow wellness coordinators who already have one in place.
Participants in this session will be able to:
- Identify at least one advantage of a wellness committee;
- Identify one pitfall to avoid; and
- Take away ideas on how to form a committee in your own county

In this session, we will discuss employee motivation (or the lack thereof) and how to increases motivation in a few different ways. We will venture into what stimulates employees to be the best versions of themselves through engaging in Healthy County programs. Employees want and need supportive management, incentives, learning opportunities and meaningful feedback. |
