The Texas Judicial Academy is a partnership between the Texas Association of Counties and the Texas Tech University School of Law.
This session will provide an overview of property transmission upon death and the role of judges and clerks in the probate process. We will summarize the basic legal steps necessary to transfer property from decedent to heirs and beneficiaries and review the basic intestate succession rules. This webinar will provide 3 hours of continuing education. Professor Gerry W. Beyer will be covering:
- Probate Overview (Parts 1 & 2) – 1.5 hr
- What Every Judge and Clerk Needs to Know about Texas Intestate Succession – 1 hr
- Moderated Discussion (breakout Judges and Clerks) – 0.5 hr
There will be no reimbursement for this program.
