This one-day informal meeting, hosted by Tom Green and Ward counties, will cover the budget and tax rate processes in detail, including:
- Budget and tax rate calendars.
- Tax rate calculations and comptroller forms.
- Required public notices and advertisements.
- Procedures to adopt the budget and tax rate.
The meeting is open to any officials or officers who are directly involved and responsible for these processes in their counties (i.e., county judges, county auditors, county treasurers, tax assessor-collectors and budget officers). Participants will receive sample calendars, forms and advertisements. Lunch is included.
Please note the meeting will take place at Tom Green County's Stephens Central Library in the Sugg Community Room (33 W. Beauregard Ave., San Angelo, TX 76903). Parking is available on the street or in the parking lot at 114 W. Twohig Ave.
Registration is scheduled to open Monday, April 11.
