County magazine is the award-winning flagship publication published by the Texas Association of Counties. It is the premier publication of Texas county officials and of Texas county government.

The print version of County is a quarterly magazine distributed to every elected county official and county auditor in Texas’ 254 counties. Other readers include purchasing agents, budget and planning administrators, appointed department heads, state legislators, federal legislators and state agency personnel.

The printed form of County is a feature publication. Its intended purpose is to spread best practices, educate elected officials about county issues and programs and promote county government services, accomplishments and solutions in an easy-to-read journalism-based format.

The online version of County is an expansion of its print version. The online magazine, at www.county.org/County-Magazine, includes everything printed in the print version while also serving as a hub for all TAC-generated news and columns. Its content will feed news to the main www.county.org homepage.

County is the only publication that focuses on the interests of every elected official, as well as the major department heads in Texas county government. The 6,100 readers include county purchasing agents and those who make and influence purchasing decisions.
