Members of the TAC Health and Employee Benefits Pool (TAC HEBP) have access to new resources, including an employee assistance program (EAP) and expanded telehealth services.
"Year-round, TAC HEBP finds new ways we can continue to enhance our coverage options and best serve our members," said TAC Health and Benefits Services Director Quincy Quinlan. "We encourage members to utilize these resources, and to contact us if they have questions or need assistance."
Employee Assistance Program Launched
On Oct. 1, TAC HEBP began an employee assistance program, powered by Alliance Work Partners, to provide free, confidential advice, and counseling or referral services to any member of an employee's household as part of the health benefits of fully pooled TAC HEBP members.
Professional counselors are available by phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For more information about the available benefits, members can visit the EAP website at mybenefits.county.org.
Expanded Telehealth Services
TAC HEBP has expanded online services to include telehealth visits with an in-network provider and the Airrosti Remote Recovery program. These services allow members to receive medical advice, resources, care and treatment plans without leaving home. There is no copay for a telephone consultation or virtual visit with an in-network physician through Dec. 31.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas Fitness Program Updates
The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas Fitness Program has switched to a tier-based program, which allows more flexibility with pricing and fitness locations. Members may choose from four no-contract membership packages, which have varying pricing. They will also have access to thousands of fitness locations, so they can work out near home, near work or on the road while traveling.
Healthy County Device Subsidy
The TAC HEBP device subsidy from Healthy County is now available every two years instead of three. Members receive a $30 allowance to redeem for a Fitbit or Garmin activity tracker at no cost or $30 off an upgraded activity tracker on the Healthy County device storefront.
