When can the commissioners court regulate holiday season fireworks?
Local Government Code §352.051 authorizes the commissioners court to adopt an order regulating fireworks in the unincorporated areas of the county if drought conditions exist. The statute provides that the order must be adopted before Dec. 15 of each year for the Christmas and New Year’s Day fireworks season (Dec. 20-Jan. 1).
