Bruce Barr joined TAC's County Information Program as geographic information system (GIS) analyst in February 2004. Prior to joining TAC, he worked for the Capital Area Planning Council. His areas of concentration included 9-1-1 data development, regional transportation planning, air quality monitoring, solid waste monitoring and Central Texas urban planning. At TAC, Barr coordinates most county GIS and flood management activities.
Barr earned a B.S. in geographical information systems and computer mapping from Texas State University. He is a member of the Texas Geographic Information Council Steering Committee and the Texas Floodplain Management Association as a Certified Floodplain Manager.
