Senior Legislative Manager
is a native of the South Texas coast. He received his political science and economics education at the University of Texas at Austin and was first introduced to the Texas Legislature as an intern in Gov. Bill Clements’ office. Twelve regular sessions and fifteen special sessions later, his quarter of a century experience in both the House and Senate managing committees and member’s offices provides the understanding necessary to assist anyone with dealings before state government. Barrios is married to his wife Laura of twenty three years. They have raised their three children in Austin. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys escaping the big city life whenever possible. Barrios is the liaison to the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas.
