Your co.(county).tx.us domain is now registered with a new registrar, Neustar, who is requiring you to verify your ownership in order to maintain ownership and access to your website and email domain. Neustar gave Texas counties a deadline of Oct. 1, 2018 to complete and submit two forms (linked at the bottom of the page) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Neustar will not consider a county to be in good standing until both forms have been submitted.
At this time, the Texas Association of Counties has not been informed by Neustar of a possible deadline extension. If you are a county whose domain is managed by TAC CIRA and are unaware of whether your county has complied, please reference the most recent status report received from Neustar. If your county has not completed the required forms, please contact Neustar about whether your county can submit the forms at this time.
Because we do not have the status for counties’ domains TAC CIRA does not manage, if you are not included on the status report linked above, please contact Neustar directly to find your county’s status and how to proceed with registering your county’s co.(county).tx.us domain.
