The Texas Association of Counties' County Information Resources Agency (TAC CIRA) is moving its email services to Microsoft Office 365. Customers can expect robust security, collaboration tools and additional features.

TAC CIRA will phase out the current Rackspace email platform, and customers will need to migrate to the new email service through TAC CIRA, or obtain their own service provider, by Dec. 31. TAC CIRA will perform migrations in early 2022 for a very limited number of counties that could not migrate earlier because of budget process limitations.

Microsoft email services have robust and customizable security to help keep networks and data safe. The required multifactor authentication further protects counties’ email, and all email packages come with TAC CIRA’s comprehensive, ongoing support. An updated cost structure includes discounted Microsoft licenses and a management fee, which reflects the value of hands-on support, migration and license administration.

Contact TAC CIRA’s Email Transition Team at 365secure@county.org or at (512) 615-8915 to get started. TAC CIRA encourages counties to lock in their preferred migration dates as soon as possible for the best selection. Learn more about the available email packages and migration details online.
