Help Set the Agenda for the 86th Legislative Session
TAC’s legislative staff has been traveling the state to hear from county officials about what they are interested in and concerned about as the 86th legislative session approaches. There is one final opportunity for you to attend an exchange before session begins.
This last exchange will take place at the Decatur Conference Center in Wise County on Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to noon; lunch will be provided. All county officials in the region are encouraged to attend.
This free regional meeting provides an opportunity to come together and discuss legislative issues important to county government. The gathering provides valuable guidance for TAC’s legislative staff as they meet with legislative offices, coordinate with county official associations and research legislative proposals.
Who Should Attend?
All elected and appointed officials and staff are encouraged to attend.
Why Should I Attend?
The Legislative Exchanges are an excellent opportunity for you to talk about issues and concerns, share solutions and ideas that will help keep local decision-making and county government strong.
Registration
There is no fee to attend, but please pre-register. Pre-registration is not required to attend any of the regional meetings, but it is encouraged. Onsite registration will be available. Unfortunately, CE credits are not earned from attending the Legislative Exchanges.
