Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins and Texas State Demographer Dr. Lloyd Potter recently announced a joint effort to develop and assist Census 2020 Complete Count Committees across the state. The Texas Demographic Center has compiled information on the hundreds of Complete Count Committees that have already been established. In most cases, that includes contact information.

Last month, our newsletter mentioned Complete Count Committees that are being created across the country by local communities to make sure everyone gets counted in the 2020 Census. Committee members use their local knowledge and contacts to educate the public and promote participation in the Census. An accurate count is important for making sure Texas gets the federal representation it deserves (redistricting), as well as making sure that both your county and your citizens get the funding they deserve. One way you can make sure your county is accurately counted is to form a Complete Count Committee.

The Texas Demographic Center has additional information about the 2020 Census and why it is important to all of us.
