2020 TAC Salary Survey is Underway

The biennial Texas Association of Counties (TAC) Salary Survey is in progress. We sent the survey out on Jan. 21 to collect salary information on all elected county offices and appointed county auditors. Information about the survey was addressed to county auditors, county treasurers, human resources directors and other county offices who completed past surveys.

If you need a copy of the survey form, you can download the spreadsheet here. Please email completed copies of the survey to Tim Brown or fax it to his attention at (512) 478-3573. Also, contact him with any survey questions at (800) 456-5974.

In addition to the survey form, TAC will also publish a map that shows which counties participated in the survey. The map will be updated weekly as survey responses are received.

Previous editions of the survey, including the updated 2018 edition, are available on TAC's website.

Once completed, county offices that return completed survey forms will receive a hard copy of the report. A PDF version of this year's survey will be posted online along with a downloadable spreadsheet of base salary data. While the spreadsheet will not include supplemental salaries or any allowances, it will allow county officials to sort and group the counties as desired.
