The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will open applications for the County Transportation Infrastructure Fund (TIF) grant program on April 27, and counties can obtain up to $250 million.

Prior to the application period, each county judge will receive a certified letter from TxDOT notifying their county of the application process and timeframe for accessing available funding in the County TIF grant program.

Applications will be accepted electronically until May 27. Counties only have a month to submit completed applications. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.

More information about the application process can found on the TxDOT website including the application form and estimated allocation amount for each county. TxDOT will also host video conferences in early April to help counties apply.
