In the past, at the request of local county officials, TAC has hosted luncheons with state and congressional lawmakers across Texas. Now, more than ever, county officials must maintain a working relationship with their legislators.
These events are usually held during the lunch hour at a local venue. However, TAC is responding to calls for slowing the spread of COVID-19 by hosting events virtually. In our new and ever-changing environment, we prioritize your safety, while still striving to provide you with timely and valuable information.
Virtual luncheons are scheduled on videoconference platforms like WebEx and follow the format TAC has used for recent meetings with State Comptroller Glenn Hegar and the Texas Division of Emergency Management.
After registering for upcoming events, participants will receive detailed meeting instructions. Participants can join each meeting by computer or phone.
On May 27, Tom Green County Judge Stephen Floyd hosted the inaugural virtual Luncheons with Legislators event featuring State Rep. Drew Darby.
