The Nov. 5 due date for the 2020 Unfunded Mandates Survey is fast approaching. Summer seemed to slip by particularly fast this year which may explain why we have only 38 completed surveys as of Oct. 14. That number is far below the 110 counties that participated in the 2018 survey, but there is still time.
Of course, we know that some counties are working on the survey offline and planning to enter their data by the deadline. But we also know that other counties have been too busy to get started — this has been an unusual year by any standard.
Luckily, your county can still participate. An automated reminder email is being sent this week to county auditors (and to county treasurers in counties that do not have auditors). If you do not see the reminder in your inbox, check your spam filter. If the message cannot be found or if you have any questions about the survey, please contact Tim Brown.
Over the weekend, SurveyGizmo changed their name to Alchemer; look for a message from alchemer.com for your link to the survey.
