The Unfunded Mandates (UFM) Survey is important to all 254 counties. The ability to show legislators the impact that their decisions continue to have on county finances is critical. That is why the Texas Association of County Auditors, the County Treasurers' Association of Texas, the Conference of Urban Counties and the County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas worked with the Texas Association of Counties to develop the survey. The information that you have provided in earlier surveys has been used to great effect in the two prior legislative sessions, and we anticipate that it will continue to do so in the upcoming session.

Our first email asked for the UFM Survey to be completed by Nov. 5 and promised to send reminders before that date. Therefore, we sent the first reminder email this morning to county auditors (and to treasurers in those counties without auditors) who have not completed the survey. The email contains your county’s unique link to the survey as well as the correct username and password.

If you have not completed the survey and do not see a reminder in your inbox, it might be stuck in your spam filter. If you cannot locate your reminder email, contact Tim Brown for assistance.
