The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) recently held a webinar to clarify the process for accessing the County Transportation Infrastructure Fund (CTIF) Grant Program funds. Applications were due May 27, and TxDOT has now completed the application review process, calculating eligible grant awards for applicant counties. The presentation provides direction to help applicant counties obtain certification, apply for reimbursement and secure the grant agreement with TxDOT.
Before receiving a grant award and any allowable reimbursements from the fund, your county must enter into a grant agreement with TxDOT. To date, approximately half of the 216 eligible counties have secured the grant agreement. All necessary program documents and instructions are on the CTIF website, including the updated FAQ. It is important to note that all funds must be used by June 24, 2025.
