More than 280 county judges and commissioners met on Oct. 11-14 in Round Rock for their 99th Annual State Judges and Commissioners Conference. The officials were able to obtain up to 17 hours of continuing education for commissioners and four hours of continuing education for county judges, plus 13 hours of optional administrative training.
The County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas elected a new board: President, Johnson County Commissioner Rick Bailey; Vice President, Tarrant County Judge Glenn Whitley; Second Vice President, Comal County Commissioner Jen Crownover; Immediate Past President, Victoria County Judge Ben Zeller.

The 100th Annual State Judges and Commissioners Conference will be held Oct. 3-6 at Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Cedar Creek.
