North and East Texas County Judges, Commissioners Hold Annual Conference

More than 165 officials join gathering; new board members sworn in.

The North and East Texas County Judges and Commissioners Association met July 11-14 in Denton for its annual conference.

One hundred and sixty-five registrants attended the conference, which offered continuing education classes for county judges and commissioners.

Cherokee County Commissioner Kelly Traylor was sworn in as the association’s new president, along with the following new board members:

  • Henderson County Judge Wade McKinney, first vice president.
  • Johnson County Commissioner Larry Woolley, second vice president.
  • Houston County Judge Jim Lovell, secretary/treasurer.
  • Leon County Judge Byron Ryder, immediate past president.
