With today's most pressing issues for county government on the agenda, the Texas Association of Counties' 2022 Legislative Conference is all set to help counties prepare for the upcoming 88th Legislature, which convenes on Jan. 10, 2023.
Scheduled for Aug. 24-26 at the Fairmont Hotel in Austin, the conference connects hundreds of county officials and staff members with their peers from every corner of Texas. State legislators, policymakers, subject-matter experts, representatives with the National Association of Counties and exhibitors sharing products and services for counties are also part of the three-day event.
Ten breakout sessions moderated by members of TAC's Legislative Services team form the centerpiece of the conference's schedule. The closing general session will take a look at broadband expansion in Texas with Comptroller Glenn Hegar and Greg Conte, director of the state's Broadband Development Office.
Register today and find more information about the conference at www.county.org/legeconference. Reduced rates remain available through Aug. 8.
