The National Association of Counties (NACo) and the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers are encouraging counties nationwide to participate in Operation Green Light this Veterans Day. The initiative, now in its second year, asks counties to illuminate buildings with green lights from Nov. 6 to Nov. 12 to show their appreciation and support for veterans.
NACo hopes to build upon last year's inaugural success, when more than 300 counties joined the effort. The Texas Association of Counties is also encouraging statewide participation from all 254 counties.
