TAC RMP Regional Workshops:
TAC human resources, risk control and law enforcement consultants are traveling across the state to deliver the latest topics in their expertise areas through Oct. 13.

Each fall, the TAC Risk Management Pool (TAC RMP) Regional Workshops offer more than a dozen daylong events in different regions of the state, most of them offering continuing education credits for attendees.
"Each discipline has taken the pulse of their areas of expertise and managed to narrow down this year's topics to address trends and issues facing you," said Clem Zabalza, TAC Risk Control Manager. "We want to make sure that you have the necessary information and tools to help you be better aware and prepared."
Human resources topics include medical leave, reducing risk during the termination process and coaching difficult employees.

Risk control topics include reducing vehicle damage, looking at workers' compensation data for insights on auto coverage can reveal about auto coverage, and investigating collisions.
Law enforcement topics include common lawsuits surrounding jails and law enforcement practices, and how to handle members of the public who record video of law enforcement interactions.
"Attend more than one workshop if your schedule allows," Zabalza said, encouraging any interested attendees.
