More than 2,000 bills were filed this week alone. House Appropriators worked on the supplemental appropriations bill, backfilling money owed during the current biennium.

House Public Education Chairman Dan Huberty (R-Houston) filed House Bill 3 on Tuesday, a 186-page bill co-signed by 85 of the 140 House members, which attempts to fix the state’s beleaguered school finance system. The chairman indicated the bill will be heard in committee on March 12 and he expects to have it before the full House in April.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) renewed the Small (Phase II) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) General Permit (TXR0400000) on Jan. 24, 2019. The deadline to file a Notice of Intent and Stormwater Management Plan is July 23, 2019.
