Commissioners Court Administrative Training

The Commissioners Court Administrative Training program is designed to provide county judges and county commissioners an in-depth and concentrated learning experience on the issues associated with the budgeting process. 

Attendees will receive four hours of instruction and hands-on training regarding issues associated with the budgeting process. Those who participate will leave with a better understanding of the county budgeting process, public notices and best practices for using a budget calendar. 

Training will be provided to help county judges and commissioners calculate and set ad valorem tax rates, exemptions and utilize tax incentives. Tips will also be provided to improve communication with constituents regarding the budget process and demonstrate the public benefit of county expenditures.

There is no cost to attend the Commissioners Court Administrative Training.
