On the latest episode of the Texas Association of Counties' podcast, Texas County Voice, TAC Legislative Consultant Kelsey Bernstein interviews Waller County Justice of the Peace J.R. Woolley and Burnet County Justice of the Peace Roxanne Nelson. The judges share their experience dealing with individuals with mental illness or behavioral health issues. 

Mental health issues affect counties and county budgets on multiple levels. Texas County Voice previously looked at the challenges Texas sheriffs face as they try to support the needs of jailed individuals suffering a mental health or behavioral health crisis.
