Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced the Texas Senate’s interim charges on April 4. Interim charges are study topics assigned to committees in the time between regular legislative sessions. Committees are currently holding public hearings with invited or public testimony to examine the assigned subject matter.

At the conclusion of their hearings, the committees will publish summary reports with policy recommendations for consideration by the next Legislature, convening January 2023.
