Reminder: UFM Survey Due by Nov. 15

The Unfunded Mandates (UFM) Survey is important to all Texas counties. The collected data shows trends in mandated expenditures, which we use to show legislators the impact that their decisions continue to have on county finances. That is why the Texas Association of County Auditors, the County Treasurers' Association of Texas, the Conference of Urban Counties and the County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas worked with the Texas Association of Counties to develop the survey. The information that you have provided in earlier surveys has been used to great effect in prior legislative sessions, and it will also do so in the upcoming session.

Our first email asked counties to complete the UFM Survey by Nov. 15 and promised to send reminders before that date. Therefore, we sent the first reminder email on Aug. 9 to county auditors (and to treasurers in those counties without auditors) who had not completed the survey. The email contained your county's unique link to the survey as well as the correct username and password.

If you have not completed the survey and do not see a reminder in your inbox, it might be stuck in your spam filter. If you cannot locate your reminder email or have any questions about the survey, please contact Tim Brown for assistance.
